MEADOWRIDGE FARM

miniature horses and Standard Poodles

.........we are nestled in the northwoods of Wisconsin,in Pound, just 45 minutes north of Green Bay,or 20 minutes from the Michigan border. All of our horses shown in the pictures are in a natural settings, no show stopping pictures. So if you're looking for a site like that, PLEASE pass us by. Our horses are our passion. We have been involved with the equine world for the past 40 years, and with miniatures since 1997. We have learned so much and still have so much to learn! Our horses are all registered with AMHA (American Miniature Horse Association) and AMHR (American Miniature Horse Registry), some are double registered. We have carefully chosen our stallions to compliment our mares, and resulting foals. Our stallions carry the bloodlines of GOLD MELODY BOY, FWF LITTLE BLUE BOY, and BUCKEROO. Our horses are bred to have an excellent disposition, with color being an added bonus at times! Our horses are all current on worming, shots, and farrier work. Our prices are reasonable, allowing everyone who dreams of showing~ the chance to make that dream come true!  So if you are looking for that very special horse, for breeding, the showring, pocket pet, or a companion~ chances are we can help you. Visitors are welcome by appointment,  the coffee is always on along with good old~fashioned horse chat. Please remember to sign our guest book. Dearest Creator in heaven,
Give me strength to guide my horse.
Make my hands soft and my head clear.
Let my horse understand me and I him.

My heart you have blessed with a special love of these animals.
Let me never lose sight of it.
My soul you have gifted with a deep need for them.
Let that never lessen.

Always let my breath catch as the sun gleams on an elegant head.
Always may my throat tighten at the sound of a gentle nicker.
Let the scent of fresh hay and a new bag of grain be sweet to me.
Let the touch of a warm nose on my hand always bring a smile.

I adore the joy of a warm day on the farm.
The grace and splendor of a running horse,
The thunder of its hooves makes my eyes burn and my heart soar.
Let it always be so.

Dearest Creator grant me patience,
For horses are harnessed wind, and wind can be flighty.
Let me not frighten or harm them.
Instead show me ways to understand them.

Above all, dear Creator, fill my life with them.
When I pass from this world,
Send my soul to no heaven without them.
For this love you have given me graces my existence
And I shall cherish it and praise You for it for all time.

Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals.

Especially for animals who are suffering, for animals that are
overworked, underfed, cruelly treated: for all wistful creatures in captivity

that beat their wings against bars. For any that are
hunted and lost or deserted or frightened or hungry, for all that must be put to death.

We entreat for them all the mercy
and pity, and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion

and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us, ourselves; to be true friends to animals and so share the blessings of the merciful.
